I had a childhood friend (my age adult). We went to the restaurant with his sister (adult). He went to the bathroom and then I did shortly too. However, when I returned he sat next to me instead of across. Which I found it odd. There after, he did not talk much so I suddenly start talking about my terrible eye sight and how hard it was for me to see people in a distance without my glasses, etc. His sister and I talk some, but the brother did not talk as much and I’m not sure why. So I felt like I was mumbling at times so our dinner conversations did not have cricket silence. Then next day, he brings the past out of the blue from our 20s and says, “I never meant to say that I wanted to kiss you back then if you came to visit me.” I just brushed it off because I did not want to make it any more awkward then what I felt at that moment. So, my swift response was, “We were young and it’s all under the rug…”. The rest of the few days I visited he did not talk much just played with his phone as we set next to each other on the sofa. He was nice as in friendly and I did not get a bad vibe from him, but his lack of communication made it difficult to know where we stood as in ‘Yes, it was good to see you, talk. Let’s keep in touch.’ Or ‘I’m just being nice because your my childhood person.’ And when we did talk it was nothing too heavy about our personal lives. Meaning, he did not ask anything personal about my life; even though I asked him and he answered honestly. When I had to leave town, he gave basic front hug and end of story. Several months later, I wrote a letter basic note if we could start our friendship fresh because I felt like when we exchanged letters in our 20s it was romantic (but I have no recollection what I wrote since I did not have those letters anymore). So, I gave him my contact info. However, no response since. At this point, I feel like he dislikes me because of my physical appearance which makes me feel like a fool and just want to avoid the guy.

well the worst one I ever got by text was totally unexpected and shocking, a simple "I'm moving to Macon" ... yeah, Macon, Georgia... from someone I thought we were on permanent path together in California, lol. One very big red flag in a man is if he wants you to wear sweats all the time. Beware. This means that he will never take you anywhere nice. He will only want to stay home.
